This includes individual student conferences as needed with parents and staff, and daily instruction to engage students.Provide a variety of alternative learning techniques and experiences for the students.Keep student-related and program-related records, such as attendance, programs, schedules, and others as determined by the Program Facilitator.Be knowledgeable of the district's overall mission and the policies and procedures of the individual program.Be fully engaged in the summer program to ensure high quality, high academic standards, and a strong team environment.General Purpose of Job
Leading and directing the teaching staff for summer Reading and Math programming. Ensuring quality planning and intentional instruction for a 4-week summer Reading and Math program that includes enrichment and student-planned activities for students entering grades 1-5.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a 4-week age-appropriate Reading and Math curriculum.
- Provide students opportunities to engage in reading, writing, and math activities daily.
- Ensure that students enrolled in the program have their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs met.
- Promote and enforce effective use of time and materials, and set standards for student accountability.
- Work with the Program Facilitator and site staff to maintain student well-being, including conferences with parents and staff, and daily instruction.
- Offer a variety of alternative learning techniques and experiences.
- Maintain records related to students and the program, such as attendance, schedules, and others as required.
- Understand the district's mission and policies, and the specific program procedures.
- Be actively involved in the summer program to uphold high standards and foster a strong team environment.
Basic Information
The program will be held at Edinbrook Elementary this summer.
It is available to students currently in grades K-4 who will attend EB in the fall.
Program Dates & Times
June 23 - July 10, Monday-Thursday
8:30 am – 12:00 pm (student hours)
Must be willing to commit to all program dates!
Hours: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm (includes prep time) and additional staff training times TBD.
Setup and training will occur the week of June 18, 2025.
FTE: Hourly, Schedule D per teacher contract.
