Job summary

Unlimited Instruction, LLC is seeking candidates for a Teacher in Training role in the Petersburg, VA area. The program offers the path to a provisional teaching license for the 2026-27 school year and beyond.

Qualified applicants hold a bachelor’s degree in any field and will participate in a training program to become eligible for licensure. This is a temporary assignment supporting education services in the local community.

Qualifications

Knowledge of district curriculum and techniques for integrating curriculum; ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
Ability to work with administrators, staff, students, parents, and community.

Responsibilities

Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the designated locations and times.
Create a classroom environment that enables each student to achieve objectives.
Provide an instructional program to meet all students’ needs.
Prepare for classes and show written evidence of preparation on request.
Guide learning toward curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for lessons.
Establish objectives aligned with district framework and student development.
Utilize methods/resources to motivate students toward objectives.
Maintain records and follow required procedures.
Assist administration in enforcing policies and maintaining classroom order.
Be available to students/parents outside instructional hours as needed.
Build relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community.
