Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) invites you to teach in our special education and alternative education settings nationwide.

You will diagnose learning and emotional needs, collaborate with school teams and families to implement SESI’s evidence-based models and CASE PBIS framework to help every student shine. You’ll design individualized lesson plans, manage behavior with de‑escalation and safety practices, document IEPs and BIPs, track growth, and support diverse student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Responsibilities

• Uncover the light and potential in each student by diagnosing and addressing learning, social, and emotional skill gaps.
• Collaborate with school teams and families to offer personalized guidance and deliver SESI’s evidence-based learning and instructional models.
• Inspire, empower, and transform with our innovative learning approach and smaller class sizes.
• Maintain high standards of student safety and support through positive behavior interventions and safety protocols.
• Develop individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies, including de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs and BIPs.
• Track and report student growth toward academic and social-emotional goals.
• Supervise students during transitions within the school.

• Competitive pay range
• Tuition reimbursement up to $3,000/year
• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
