Job summary

Child Crisis Arizona seeks compassionate Early Head Start Teacher II for our Early Education Services Department in Phoenix, AZ. You will create a positive, safe classroom for eight children and support a Teacher I, guiding play and learning activities while maintaining CACFP meal documentation.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, 2+ years experience, and a clean driving record with an Arizona license. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Unrelated Associates Degree with 120 hours of formal early education training covering ages 0-3 and 480 hours of experience.
• Clean five-year motor vehicle history and Arizona Driver’s license.
• Level one fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a fun, positive, safe and secure classroom environment for eight children.
• Supervise and support Teacher I to ensure effective classroom operation.
• Facilitate play activities aligned with children's interests and skills.
• Document CACFP meal program accurately during meal times.

Our Early Head Start programs are ready to hire Teacher II’s to join the team in our Early Education Services Department.

We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals that are committed to build a classroom of learning for children receiving services.

In this role, you will spend most of your time providing a fun, positive, safe and secure classroom environment for eight children as well supervising and supporting your teacher I. Play will guide your day as you create an energetic classroom filled with activities that meet the needs of children’s interests and differing skills. You will encourage responsibility, independence, and problem solve through open-ended questions while maintaining a clean and organized classroom with your Teacher I’s support. Meal times are a regular routine that allows you to help facilitate a variety of self-help skills while ensuring accurate documentation of the CACFP meal program.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• 2+ years of related experiences
• Other Early Head Start Requirements include
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field with a minimum of 12 credits related to infant/toddler development OR
  • Unrelated Associates Degree with 120 hours of formal early education training covering ages 0-3 and 480 hours of professional experience in a 0-3 age group setting
• A clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona Driver’s license.
• A level one fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
• Spanish/English bilingual capabilities preferred
