A flexible, campus-based educator who provides classroom coverage when teachers are absent and supports campus-wide duties as assigned. This role serves as a talent pipeline, preparing qualified candidates for future full-time teaching openings within the district.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required (or actively pursuing degree).
Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the campus.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
Ability to use computers including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives, using appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent
Manage student behavior and classroom routines
Take attendance and complete required documentation
Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices
Communicate with administration on coverage needs
Attend required staff meetings and professional development
Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise
Perform any other duties as assigned
Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
