Neighbors In Need Of Services Inc seeks a dedicated lead for an Early Head Start classroom in Texas. You will oversee operations, management, and curriculum delivery to infants and toddlers.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to program standards, and commitment to child nutrition and wellbeing, with weekend/evening adjustments as needed.

Formación

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with liability insurance.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a CDA for Infants and Toddlers Caregivers.
• Must have 3 years' experience with infants and toddlers.

A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have no criminal record or criminal charges pending
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with liability insurance
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aide/CPR certification
• Must have a clear TB and physical examination before first day of employment
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) for Infants and Toddler Caregivers
• Must have 3 years' experience (with infants and toddlers)

B. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be Bilingual - able or willing to learn to speak, read and write English and Spanish
• Be a local resident of Cameron or Willacy County
• Be a person sensitive to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged

C. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This person will be in charge of the assigned Early Head Start classroom.
• Responsible for the overall operation and management of the classroom.
• Must work in a team teaching and insure that all curriculum activities and program Performance Standards be implemented in the classroom.
• Responsible for the operation and management of the classroom.
• Responsible for the proper nutrition of all children.
• Assist in formulation and maintaining records of individual children in the classroom.
• Responsible for the care of classroom equipment, materials and supplies.
• Responsible for daily / weekly classroom lesson plan.
• Will assure that all screening activities are conducted and follow - up is completed.
• Designs Individual Education Plans (IEP's) as needed.
• When necessary will be expected to attend staff training through pre-service and in-service workshops, and out of town conferences.
• Supports the efforts of Head Start families in the enhancement of their children's healthy wellbeing and academic success
• Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor relative to program operations
• Works on weekends, holidays, and/or evenings on especial assigned projects and/or tasks on request of the Executive/Head Start Director
