Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Teacher in Michigan to lead classrooms and implement our curriculum while creating a safe, nurturing environment for children. You will partner with parents to ensure the best care and education, and support center goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.

CPR/First Aid and CDA credentials are valued, with opportunities for growth. The role emphasizes teamwork, compliance with state requirements, and delivering high‑quality early childhood

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Active CDA Credential or be eligible for NAEYC candidacy.
• State trainer designation is preferred.
• 2-3 years of early childhood education experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with families.

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that aligns with each child’s needs.

• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi‑task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
