Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Teacher for the Champions program to lead and mentor in a supportive classroom setting. You will implement curriculum, foster safe and engaging learning experiences, and partner with families to deliver the best care and education for children.

Strong candidates have a CDA or state trainer credentials, 2–3 years of early childhood experience, and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (preferred).

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center success; collaborate with staff to achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, authorities, and partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
