Duncan Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant - Instructional Paraprofessional at Woodrow Wilson Elementary. The paraprofessional will assist in delivering instructional support, preparing materials, and supervising students to create an organized classroom environment.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus one of several qualifications (college credits, an associate degree, PARAPRO or OGET, or a National Career Readiness Certificate).
9 months - 8 hours per day

QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Teacher, Building Administrator
JOB GOAL: Assist in providing a well-organized, efficiently functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to the public and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to cooperate in a team effort with other employees.
