Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Level 1: Certificate of Completion in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college within two years.
• Level 2: Certificate of Completion in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college.
• Six months of Head Start classroom experience or one year with preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety in the classroom with appropriate supervision of children.
• Support teachers in developing children's cognitive, physical, social‑emotional and language skills.
• Conduct and record child observations to set goals.
• Utilize lesson plans and curriculum to address each child’s goals.
