Virtua's Child Development Center is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in a primary infant room. You will help prepare materials, supervise children, and assist with daily activities to promote growth and development.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years in childcare, a high school diploma, and are enrolled or willing to complete ECE units within a year. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and positive communication with families and staff.
Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Primary infant room - Ages 1 year to approximately 18 months.
Assists the teacher with the preparation of materials and upkeep of the classroom, daily activities, supervision of children, daily growth and development of the children and center-closing activities each evening. Integral part of Child Development Center (CDC) team which supports Virtua employees by caring for their dependents, enabling them to have peace of mind in their day-to-day duties.
Two or more years of formal experience in childcare setting is preferred. The ideal candidate is optimistic and displays a can-do attitude and is a team player. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to establish effective relationships with parents, children and co-workers, maintain high teaching standards and believe that the care they provide is invaluable.
High school diploma is required. Currently enrolled or willing to complete ECE units at a local college within one year of employment required.
Meets minimum preparation and experience required by state licensing for fully qualified Teacher Assistant and maintains credentials for the position.
