Job summary

The Goddard School in Branchburg, NJ is seeking caring assistant teachers for our older toddler classroom. We value experience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to help children learn and grow in a safe, dynamic environment.

We offer a clear salary range of $15.92–$20 per hour, paid time off after 90 days, health and dental benefits for full-time staff, uniforms, free training, and opportunities for advancement. Schedule is weekday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Associate or BA in Early Childhood Education or CDA required for lead teacher.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty.
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations while multi-tasking.

We are looking for caring assistant teachers for our older toddler classroom.

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field or Child Development Associate (CDA) required for a lead teacher position

• Works productively without supervision
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Is dependent and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
