Job summary

People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking a qualified Teacher Assistant for the Child and Family Development program at the Buchanan County Early Head Start Center in Grundy, VA. The Assistant will support teachers, provide educational services and health assessments, and help with data entry and documentation.

A minimum of three months classroom experience and a high school diploma or GED are required; CDA within two years is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA certification within two years of hire.
• Minimum of three months classroom experience working with children.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record and transportation.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to classroom teachers and delivering direct educational services and health assessments to children.
• Perform data entry and complete documentation as required.
