Job summary

The Learning Experience in West Chester is seeking a caring Teacher Assistant to join our Twaddlers and Preppers classroom for two-year-old children. You will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a love for working with children, a High school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and prior childcare experience. We offer benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 2 is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous childcare or ECE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily routines and activities.
• Support children's social-emotional development and language.
• Help with diapering, meals, rest time, and cleanliness.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment.

Position Overview:

The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for two-year-old children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supporting children's social-emotional development, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and helping implement engaging learning experiences.

Our ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about with children during this important stage of growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines, lesson activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Provide attentive, loving care while encouraging childrens independance, curiousity, and confidence
• Support the children as they develop langugae, social skills, emotional regulation, and self-help abilities
• Assist with diapering, potty-training routines, handwashing, meals, snacks, and rest time.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe classroom environment
• Supervise children closely and follow all health. safety, and supervision procedures.
• Communicate professionally and warmly with families and team members
• Ensure all materials and supplies are prepared to for learning centers and activties
• Follow The Learning Experience curriculum, policies, and state licensing requirements
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and school leadership to support each child's individual needs.

Qualifications:

• A genuine love for working with children
• CPR/First Aide
• Previous childcare or ECE experience preferred
