Full Time/Part Time On Call/Substitute – Total Hours Per Week: From Salary $17.00 To Salary $17.00
The On-Call Teacher Assistant assists the classroom teacher in the absence of the Teacher Assistant in carrying out the academic and behavioral objectives set forth in the child’s IEP by providing direct instructional services to students and performing non-teaching support duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a Child Development Associate* (CDA) Certificate or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education, or must obtain a Child Development Associate* or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education within one year from the date of hire. *CDA must be awarded by Council for Professional Recognition.
Employee is required to communicate clearly and effectively, stand; use mobility and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
