This title is governed by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission; meaning that a candidate for this position will be placed as a provisional employee. Upon hire, the employee will be required to complete a 120‑Day Working test period during which the employee's performance will be evaluated. The employee must successfully complete the designated probation period in order to remain in the position as a permanent employee.
Under direction, provides direct aide to teachers or other certificated staff members; assists in the classroom activities of school children; does other related duties.
