Job summary

Dallas County Juvenile Justice Charter School in Dallas, TX seeks a Teacher Aide to support teachers by delivering instructional activities and supervising students in a secure facility. The role is full-time and located on-site at the DCJJCS site.

You will assist with lesson implementation, assessments, IEPs, and maintaining records while promoting a safe, structured learning environment. A high school diploma is required and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program.
• Two (2) years clerical/administrative experience or thirty (30) hours from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study or a combination of the two.
• Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with staff and the public.
• Must pass an extensive background investigation and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional subjects according to TEA and charter policies.
• Assist in administering assessments and completing IEPs and reports.
• Assist with implementation of lesson plans and learning strategies.
• Help manage materials, supplies, and maintain a neat, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
