Position Summary

The Teacher Aide assists teachers in non‑teaching duties such as managing records, materials, and equipment; attending to the physical needs of children; and supervising students.

Essential Functions

• Under the supervision of the Teacher, manages student records, materials in the classroom and equipment.
• Under the supervision of the Teacher, attends to the physical needs of students.
• Assists the classroom team with classroom organization and clean up.
• Supervises students when necessary and supervised by the teacher.
• Performs other services that support the Teacher with teaching duties as determined by the Teacher.
• Complies with regulatory requirements and school policy and procedures in all areas.
• Maintains appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team members, parents, other staff, supervisors, administrators, and outside agencies.
• Demonstrates: Open communication, flexibility and the ability to learn and utilize team building strategies.
• Demonstrates: The ability to self‑evaluate, to utilize supervision, and solve problems.
• Demonstrates: The ability to both offer and accept assistance to/from others.
• Performs other duties assigned.
