Job description

As a Teacher Aide you will provide for the well‑being and supervision of child(ren) in the classroom throughout the day as directed by the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide one‑on‑one support for students in a school environment.
  2. Assist teachers inside their classrooms K-12.
  3. Supervise child(ren) at all times and assist them in daily activities while promoting independence.
  4. Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of classroom, equipment and supplies.
  5. Demonstrate a consistent, nurturing manner toward all children.
  6. Perform classroom duties as assigned by the teacher(s) or teaching assistant.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with young children preferred.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate adequate oral and written communication skills.
  • Be accepting and sensitive when interacting with people with disabilities.
