Job summary

The House of the Good Shepherd in Utica, NY is seeking a qualified teacher to support students with unique learning needs within a caring, structured environment.

As an educator, you will provide personalized instruction, build rapport with students facing adversity, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance academic and emotional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a NYS teaching certificate are required, or an equivalent NYS-approved pathway leading to a master’s in education and permanent certification.
  • Certification in Special Education strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching students with IEPs or emotional/behavioral challenges is a plus.
  • Must meet all NYSED and agency training requirements.

What You'll Do

As a Teacher at Tilton School, you'll be much more than an educator; you'll be a catalyst for healing, growth, and opportunity. You'll help unlock their potential by providing structure, stability, and creativity to students with unique learning needs. Instruction is personalized, grounded in each student's goals, and supported by a structured environment with small class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio. Qualifications: Qualifications and Preferred Experience
