One Hope United is hiring a Teacher to provide a nurturing setting for students and families in Elgin, IL. The role includes floating between classrooms, arranging spaces into learning centers, and partnering with co-teachers to implement best practices.

As part of a supportive OHU culture, you’ll help children engage, explore, and learn. A CDA or an associate degree with ECE credits is required; sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered. OHU values professional development and community partnerships.

The ELCD program at OHU is known for its closely-knit teams who often work together for years at a time! The team members join their shared love of educating young children towards creating a warm and positive working environment. What you would be doing:

• Your first priority in this role would be providing a nurturing setting for our students (and their parents!)
• As a floater teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach in a variety of classrooms!
• You'll be able to arrangeclassrooms into learning centers that reflect children’s interests and encourage independent use as needed
• Enjoy partnering with co-teachers to develop and implement best practices
• You would create a warm and welcoming environment
• You would have the joy of encouraging our students to engage, discover, and learn to solve problems
• Collaborate in an ongoing fashion with parents and families

What we will expect of you:

Education

• One of the following required:
  • CDA
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education
  • Associate's degree in related field with six (6) credits in ECE

Experience

• Oneyear of professional experience working with children in childcare or school settingpreferred
