Position

• Full‑Time Teacher (8‑hour shift)
• Part‑Time Teacher (flexible scheduling available)

Job Duties

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with The Goddard School curriculum.
• Provide a nurturing, positive, and safe classroom environment for children.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain daily communication with families regarding each child’s progress, activities, and needs.
• Ensure classrooms meet all health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Encourage and model positive behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with co‑teachers and leadership to ensure consistent, high‑quality care and instruction.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Document children’s learning through portfolios, progress reports, and classroom displays.

Requirements

• Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare setting preferred.
• CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• A passion for working with children and helping them grow.
• Must meet state licensing requirements (including background checks and training).
