You will create engaging activities that strengthen cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Arkansas certification in Early Childhood Special Education or CDA credential or 12+ ECE credits plus experience with special needs.
• Excellent communication with children, families, coworkers and leadership.
• Ability to work with birth through age seven and diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities.
• Help children strengthen cognitive, social-emotional, communication and motor skills.
• Create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
• Provide individualized support based on each child's needs.
• Supervise children and ensure safety and well-being.

What You'll Do

As a Teacher, you will:

• Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom activities.

• Help children strengthen cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.

• Provide individualized support based on each child's developmental needs.

• Actively supervise children and promote their safety and well-being.

• Track children's progress and complete required classroom documentation.

• Collaborate with teacher assistants, therapists, nurses, families, and other team members.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

A bachelor's degree is required, along with at least one of the following:

• Current Arkansas certification in Early Childhood Special Education

• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

• At least 12 completed college credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or child and family studies, along with documented experience working with children with special needs

Experience

• At least one year of successful classroom experience working with children who have developmental delays or disabilities is preferred.

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Skills and Abilities

• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children with special needs

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, coworkers, and leadership

• Ability to work with children from birth through age seven and families facing unique challenges

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy, team-oriented environment

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet-based programs

• Ability to understand and follow safety requirements, policies, procedures, and other company documents

• Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence

• Confidence communicating with groups of families or employees

• Basic math skills

• Sound judgment and practical problem-solving abilities
