Job summary

Vermont State University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach ELT 1031 - Electrical Circuits I at an industry partner facility in Rutland, Vermont, for Fall 2026 (August 24 – December 18). The course covers DC/AC circuits, phasors, impedance, Thevenin’s theorem, and lab measurements with standard instruments.

The successful candidate will hold at least a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) with several years of industry experience and teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with several years of relevant industry experience or a Master's degree.
• Teaching experience is required, preferably at the college level.
• Preference given to candidates with experience at GE Aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Teach ELT 1031 - Electrical Circuits I at an industry partner facility in Rutland, VT.
• Develop course materials, labs, and assessments; evaluate student performance.
