Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a TE/Obsolescence Finance Manager (M4) to own test equipment and obsolescence contracts within Air Dominance. You will lead 2–3 analysts, drive EAC processes, and provide financial guidance to IPT leads while collaborating across PMO, OPS, SCM, ENG, and QMA in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of related experience (or 5+ with advanced degree) and strong Excel, APEX, PRISM, and RPLAN skills. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years.
  • Experience interfacing with contracts, operations, engineering and supply chain.
  • Experience with financial systems and EAC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive EAC process meetings and coordinate with SSBU and Program Finance for schedule inputs.
  • Coordinate forecast deliverables and communicate expectations for EAC.
  • Lead trend analysis, support IPT leads with financial guidance and action closure.
  • Meet deadlines and develop reports to enable process improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc requests as required.

The Air Dominance Finance Organization has an immediate opening for a TE/Obsolescence Finance Manager (M4) within the Air Dominance Portfolio. This Business Manager role will have ownership of Test Equipment and Obsolescence contracts within Air Dominance. This role provides a tremendous opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support the execution of a key area of growth within the Air Dominance portfolio. This individual will lead a team of 2-3 analysts to support EACs, Financial Reporting, CDRLs, key pursuits and ad hoc tasking. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite to collaborate cross-functionally across PMO, OPS, SCM, ENG, and QMA as a critical business partner to analyze cost & schedule performance variances, identify performance trends, drive correct actions to closure, and improve predictability of the EAC process. An ideal individual for this role will be a strong communicator with a desire to learn, seek process improvements and efficiency opportunities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

Support the EAC process by driving functional meetings and collaborating with functional counterparts to EAC inputs are analyzed and provided on schedule. Coordinate & communicate with SSBU and Program Finance teams to set expectations for EAC and forecast deliverables including flow down and deliverable timing & expectations. Drive the Production team's RPLAN updates and conduct trend analysis and communicate how program performance impacts BSEC (Bookings, Sales, Earnings, & cash). Financial point of contact for Program Management and be able to provide financial guidance to IPT leads and non‑finance organizations including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations. Meet critical deadlines and develop reports to encourage solutions and process improvements. Support ad‑hoc requests as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.

Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (ex. Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain).

Experience with APEX, PRISM, Analysis for Office, RPLAN, EDIT+ or a similar system.

Experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word, and/or PowerPoint.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Proven ability working independently and with higher levels of management in a fast‑paced environment.

The candidate should be very knowledgeable of program control responsibilities which include meeting internal requirements such as coordinating budgetary agreements, preparing EACs and monthly forecasts.

Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills.

Self‑motivated and inquisitive with strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Work experience in a production‑oriented business.

Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment while multi‑tasking on several different program issues concurrently.

Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.

Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership.

Experience with financial planning and key metrics (Bookings, Sales, Earnings & cash).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
