Position Overview

Highland Elementary School is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and results-driven Dual Language Coach to support and strengthen dual language instruction across classrooms.

Qualifications
  • Valid Florida Educator Certificate required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) required.
  • ESOL Endorsement required; Reading Endorsement preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably in a dual language or bilingual educational setting.
  • Demonstrated success increasing student achievement in both English and the partner language, including measurable growth on district benchmark assessments, FAST, and other progress monitoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of dual language instructional models, second language acquisition, biliteracy development, and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Experience analyzing student achievement data to drive instructional planning and improve student outcomes.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support teachers through modeling, observation, feedback, and job-embedded professional learning.
  • Experience facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), collaborative planning, and professional development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, students, and families while fostering a collaborative and positive school culture.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, multilingualism, and continuous school improvement.
