Job summary

Schneider Downs is seeking a Tax Winter Intern to contribute to the engagement team, performing corporate and individual tax return work and supporting tax consulting. The role emphasizes a learning culture with mentoring and flexible hybrid work from January through April.

Ideal candidates are accounting students with a planned graduation in late 2027–2028, a 3.3 GPA, and pursuit of CPA eligibility. This program offers growth, mentoring and potential full-time conversion after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
• Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and August 2028; available Jan 2028–Oct 2028.
• Preferred GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum) or equivalent educational/work experience.
• Plans to pursue minimum CPA eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support projects that assist with engagement completion, including tax compliance and consulting.
• Research and analyze accounting and tax-related issues.
• Utilize data extraction, data analytics and data visualization tools to bring client insights.
• Interact with engagement team to gather information, resolve problems and suggest improvements.
