Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Tax Supervisor/Manager – CPA to lead our tax team in Akron, OH. You will oversee planning, compliance, and audit defense while advising on strategic tax matters for high-net-worth individuals and corporate structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Minimum 5 years in a tax manager or tax supervisor role.
• Extensive experience preparing/reviewing returns for HNWI, ccorp, scorp, partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all tax operations including planning, compliance, and audit defense.
• Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities and ensure legal compliance.
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns for HNWI, ccorp, scorp, and partnerships.
• Managing relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Providing advice on the tax impact of business decisions and potential acquisitions.
• Keeping abreast of changes in tax law and regulations and ensuring the company is compliant.
• Managing and mentoring members of the tax team to ensure performance and development.
• Collaborating with other departments to provide tax advice and to understand the tax impact of their decisions.
