Job summary

Hawkins Ash CPAs, a Top 200 public accounting firm with 200+ professionals across Wisconsin and Minnesota, seeks a Tax Professional to join our collaborative team. You will manage client engagements and deliver tax returns and advisory services for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits.

We value growth, client relationships, and work-life balance. A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with CPA preferred and 4–6 years of experience is ideal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Four to six years of similar experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Travel locally to/from engagements, which may include overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagements from start to finish; including projecting, planning, supervising, directing, and completing tax projects.
  • Review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns in accordance with Firm and professional standards.
  • Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and work closely with other team members to identify and research complex tax issues.
  • Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
  • Attend networking and continuing professional education seminars.
  • Assist with initiatives of various Firm committees.
