Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• EA, CPA, or attorney with tax specialization required.
• 2–3 years of experience in tax preparation or advisory services at a CPA firm.
• 2 years of experience preparing individual (1040) federal and state tax returns.
• 2 years of experience preparing business (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) tax returns.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax advice and services for individual and business clients.
• Maintain knowledge of tax laws and planning strategies.
• Consult with clients, analyze facts, and provide guidance and alternatives.
• Fulfill on 2-year reviews and other service offerings.
• Participate in advisory resources and respond to client queries.
• Involvement in tax resolution and controversy matters as needed.
• Communicate with clients nationwide via phone, email, and video.
• Advocate for clients with IRS and other tax authorities.
• Support junior staff and contribute to team goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax preparation and review processes.
