Ideal candidates will have 3 years of tax and accounting experience, a degree in accounting, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and authorities. Proficiency with QuickBooks and UltraTax is a plus, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3 years tax and accounting experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Communicate with clients to gather tax information and answer questions.
• Advise on tax strategies to minimize obligations.
• Interface with IRS and state authorities to resolve notices.
• Review returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals including forms 706/709/990/5500 as needed.
• Understand financial statements and year-end adjustments for taxable income.
• Research tax issues and document findings.
• Assist with client billing and participate in professional networking.
