H. T. PROF Group in Woodland, CA is seeking a Tax Senior to join our well established CPA firm. You will handle diversified accounting and tax assignments, supervise staff, and contribute to client planning.

Hybrid schedule with some days remote, competitive benefits, and potential bonuses. A CPA license or progress toward one is required, along with 3–5 years public accounting experience. Strong technical skills and adherence to firm standards are essential as you work toward rapid advancement

Qualificações

• 3–5 years experience in public accounting with progression in complexity of tasks and tax knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Master’s in accounting.
• 40 hours of continuing professional education required each year.
• Must hold or be pursuing CPA license by state exam.
• If licensed, member in good standing with the AICPA.

Responsabilidades

• Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under supervision.
• Demonstrates competency in technical skills and firm standards.
• Directs and instructs assistants; reviews work.
• Prepares and indexes working papers; verifies accuracy under GAAP.
• Prepares complex tax returns and dissolution/liquidation returns.
• Suggests client tax planning ideas to supervisor/Partner.
• Prepares routine client correspondence for Partner approval; comments for management letters.
• Supervises staff accountants and assistants, reviews work and directs revisions.

Well established, highly profitable regional CPA firm seeks a Tax Senior to add to their growing staff. Responsibilities

• Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of supervisor, manager or partner.
• Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and Firm standards.
• Directs and instructs assistants, where applicable, in work to be performed and working paper review.
• Prepares and indexes working papers; performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters.
• Prepares complicated tax returns and returns on dissolution or liquidation.
• Suggests client tax planning ideas to supervisor, manager, or Partner.
• Prepares routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a Partner; writes comments for management letters.
• Supervises staff accountants and assistants with assignments, instructs them in work to be performed, reviews work done and directs necessary revisions.

Qualifications

• At least three to five (3 to 5) years’ experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of accounting tasks and tax knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or master’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of forty (40) hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
• Either hold a current and valid CPA’s license or be working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam.
• If licensed, should be a member in good standing with the AICPA.
