Job summary

CyberCoders in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Tax Senior with experience in business and individual taxation to join our local CPA practice. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing tax returns and delivering client service in a small-firm setting.

You will collaborate with the tax team to handle client inquiries, gather information, and complete tax work while pursuing ongoing education and certifications and exploring opportunities to expand services to clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation.
• Experienced with both business tax and individuals.
• CPA license or CPA-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Works with the tax team to prepare and learn to review tax returns
• Handles routine client tax questions, and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance
• Completes research and other special assignments/tasks as needed
• Recognizes and informs senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients
• Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate
• Stays informed about firm capabilities other than tax compliance area, and promotes these activities to clients when appropriate
