Cherry Bekaert LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager for its National Tax Office to provide federal tax expertise on corporate, partnership, and M&A topics. This high-visibility role offers strong training, feedback, and growth within a national mid-market firm.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA and/or JD, 10+ years of federal tax experience, and proven leadership in complex advisory work, research, and client service, with remote work options available.

Qualifications

• CPA and/or JD required.
• At least 10 years working with federal tax issues related to CPMA issues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Significant experience advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, transaction structuring, due diligence, and related tax considerations.

Responsibilities

• Work with NTO specialists to ensure technical soundness on tax consulting and advisory work.
• Provide tax consulting and advisory services to professionals and clients.
• Research and write technical tax memoranda.
• Develop thought leadership and external marketing materials.
• Analyze new laws and regulations and produce guidance for opportunities and risks.
• Develop and deliver internal staff training for tax issues.
• Assist with webinars and presentations.
• Support firm-wide quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with Strategic Tax Advisory team’s M&A professionals.
