Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to lead complex engagements for asset management clients, focusing on high-value tax advice and relationship management. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and drive growth across the practice, with emphasis on strategic planning, compliance, and M&A activities.

The role requires extensive tax experience, CPA licensure, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience in business taxation at Big 4 or large national/ regional firm, or equivalent industry experience.
• Active CPA, EA, Attorney license, or pre-approved alternative certification per firm requirements.
• Extensive tax compliance & consulting experience serving Asset Management clients.
• Strong knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engagements with high-value tax advice and seek to expand services to Asset Management clients.
• May have people leadership responsibilities.
• Manage multiple complex issues and communicate non-technically to clients and service teams to manage risk.
• Drive growth and profitability for Asset Management by generating revenue and cross-selling.
• Serve as Tax client service coordinator and execute the firm's client service plan.
• Advise clients on planning, research, compliance, and mergers & acquisitions activities.
• Review research findings and ensure conclusions align with firm policies and standards.
• Build relationships across lines of business for excellent client service via integrated teams.
• Manage client needs with cross-functional tax teams (state/local, international, tech, M&A, etc.).
• Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
