Job summary

Kforce's client, a long-standing New York City-based CPA firm, seeks a Tax Senior to lead in the growing tax department. You will prepare complex returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041 and 709) for final review by a partner and interact with clients for compliance and consulting.

You will supervise, develop, and train staff, work closely with partners, and apply IRC knowledge with research tools such as CCH, BNA and RIA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting and/or MS in Taxation is required or strongly preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• 5–8 years of tax preparation experience in a small to mid-size CPA firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 709) for final partner review.
• Interact with clients for compliance and consulting services.
• Supervise, develop and train tax staff.
• Work closely with partners and apply IRC knowledge using research tools.
• Prepare corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary returns.
• Complete assigned returns with minimal supervision and accuracy.
