Job summary

BreakPoint Talent is partnering with a well-established public accounting firm in Oakland, CA to hire an experienced Tax Senior. This role offers direct client interaction, exposure to partners, and a stable public accounting environment.

You will prepare and review returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates while supporting planning and advisory work. A hybrid schedule with on-site presence is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or EA preferred.
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and estate returns.
• Strong tax research and client service skills.
• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and CCH Engagement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates
• Support tax planning, research, and advisory work
• Communicate tax issues and recommendations clearly to clients, managers, and partners
• Assist with IRS and state tax authority notices and correspondence
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines through busy season
• Review work of staff accountants and help develop junior team members
