This role demands strong research skills, client advisory capabilities, and the ability to manage engagements from start to finish while meeting deadlines. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MST is a plus.
• Active CPA license or progress toward CPA.
• 2–3+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Proficiency with tax software (CCH Axcess, GoSystem, or Lacerte) and advanced Excel.
• Strong understanding of ASC 740 and SALT issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and initial review of federal and state returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Perform tax research to ensure compliance and uncover tax-saving opportunities for clients.
• Manage and mentor Tax Associates, reviewing their work for accuracy.
• Coordinate tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory projects for clients.
