Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking a Tax Senior Associate for the PCS team in our Baltimore office. This hybrid role supports real estate advisory and tax services, with in-person collaboration encouraged about 3 days a week.

The candidate will have 3–5 years of tax experience in public accounting, a CPA/JD/EA preferred, and a strong client-service mindset. The firm offers a comprehensive rewards package and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred.
  • CPA, JD or EA preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Strong tax research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and tax software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team to meet various department deadlines throughout the year.
  • Must have experience in financial statement preparation of compilations/reviews and preparing tax returns including 1065 & 1120-S.
  • Assist with the process and review of tax returns.
  • Perform various financial analyses including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Ad hoc projects.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Associate to join our PCS team located in our Baltimore office. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work with a team to meet various department deadlines throughout the year
  • Must have experience in financial statement preparation of compilations/reviews, preparing the following types of tax returns including 1065 & 1120-S experience
  • Assist with the process and review of tax returns
  • Various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements
  • Ad hoc projects
YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
  • CPA, JD or EA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Strong tax research and writing skills
  • Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Competence with tax compliance and research software to include Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIASolid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

In Maryland, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
