Job summary

The Tax Senior Associate role is full-time in NYC or Parsippany, NJ, with a collaborative culture that recognizes growth and contribution.

Key duties include preparing complex projections, tax provisions, and returns, ensuring timely delivery within budget, and participating in tax planning.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of work experience in public accounting.
• B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting.
• CPA/EA license and MST preferred.
• Experience preparing Form 990 for nonprofit clients preferred.
• Proficient in preparing business and individual tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex projections, provisions and returns with accuracy and according to firm policies.
• Take responsibility for client work being performed on time, appropriate scope of services and within budget.
• Involve in tax planning.
• Begin to review tax returns, organize work papers, maintain open item list, and conduct self‑review before submission to reviewer.
• Organize facts, analyze, interpret information and perform research.
• Identify and develop alternatives for issues and consult with in‑charge and/or partner.
• Master firm’s tax software, research technology tools and related products to accomplish work efficiently.
• Proactively manage assignments, clients and workload.
