Caliber Recruiting Group is partnering with a thriving Madison, WI CPA firm seeking a seasoned tax professional. The role involves providing tax prep, review, and advisory services to a wide range of businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

You will oversee multiple tax engagements, guide junior staff, and foster strong client relationships while ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of tax experience with multiple business entities.
• Experience with tax prep, review, and advisory services.
• On track to CPA or CPA credit hours is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax prep, review, and advisory services to diverse clients.
• Oversee multiple tax engagements and assist junior staff.
• Ensure timely completion of engagements per firm rules.
• Develop and nurture client relationships for the firm.

The firm performs a variety of client services including wealth management (estate), business advisory services, tax management, and building partnerships with high level leaders in the local business community.

This CPA firm is a forward-thinking accounting firm that wants their teams to grow, has weekly hours capped, and has a generous PTO policy.

Responsibilities & Benefits:

• $80,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience

• Providing tax prep, review, and advisory services to a wide range of businesses, high net worth individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts


• Oversee multiple tax engagements and help assist the junior staff


• Complete all work and engagements according to the specified deadlines and in accordance with firm rules


• Create and foster client relationships for the firm

Qualifications:

• B.S. / B.A., / Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or equivalent (econ, business with focus in accounting, finance, stats) potentially on track to fulfilling the additional CPA credit hour requirement (additional education) OR on track to working towards the CPA in the future would be a plus


• CPA or EA is a big plus and would assist a fast track to higher paying manager role


• 3-4 years of tax experience working with multiple business entities, and the ability to prep and review various returns efficiently


• Experience with multiple accounting software programs including CCH Pro System FX (and or other comparable accounting software).


• Great communicator with a teamwork oriented mindset and personal skills to lead teams as well as coach other staff members
