Job summary

Milestone Tax Solutions is seeking a Tax Resolution Assistant to support licensed Tax Professionals in resolving client tax matters. The role involves drafting IRS/state resolution documents, researching tax issues, and maintaining client communications throughout the resolution process.

You will review transcripts, gather client data, and help prepare case summaries while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced startup

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
At least two (2) years of experience in tax practice, controversy, litigation, or similar.
Fluent in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Review IRS tax transcript data and reporting, including Account Transcripts, Wage and Income Transcripts, and Tax Return Transcripts.
Use data from IRS transcripts and client data to propose custom solutions in coordination with Tax Professionals.
Draft collection alternative forms (Currently Not Collectible, Installment Agreements, Offers in Compromise, etc).
Serve as primary client liaison for resolution services and validate client financial documentation.
Provide clients with timely updates on case status and deadlines.
