Job summary

GlobeTax Services Incorporated is seeking an Associate in New York to support tax reclamation processes for Depositary Banks, brokers, custodians, and Tax Authorities. You will manage communications and ensure adherence to SOPs to deliver client-focused results.

The role requires onsite presence for the first 3 months, followed by a hybrid schedule. A Bachelor's degree and 1+ year in financial services are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in Financial Services
• Foreign language skills are a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a non-US university
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to organize, multi-task and manage deadlines

Responsibilities

• Acquire a general understanding of dividends, investment instruments and international financial markets
• Collect, validate, enter and organize tax reclaim forms obtained from clients
• Execute and file tax reclaims with the appropriate authorities in various markets
• Monitor and update the status of tax reclaims until payment is secured
• Process payments and ensure funds are distributed to clients promptly
• Communicate with banks and brokers to provide product and service support
• Liaise with various institutions to create and implement tax relief & reclaim schedules
• Verify and update country-specific tax reclaim procedures and tax tables
• Publish market notices detailing tax reclaim processes and eligibility
• Ensure clients are provided the highest level of service
• Coordinate with other departments on interdisciplinary projects
