H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced tax training. You will build lasting client relationships with support from a specialist team.

The role emphasizes conducting tax interviews (in-person/virtual), preparing returns, and offering IRS assistance while driving growth for the office and franchise. This is a seasonal opportunity.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
  • All certification levels can provide tax notice services
  • Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
