Job summary

H&R Block in Wahpeton, ND seeks a Seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll receive advanced tax training and work with an expert team to deliver accurate tax returns and excellent service.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s in accounting or related field, plus CPA/EA certification. Prior tax experience and comfort with virtual interview tools are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field


• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification


• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience
