H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve diverse client tax needs with expert training and support. You will conduct interviews in person and virtually, prepare complete returns, and help grow the business while ensuring IRS and state compliance.

The role emphasizes client relationships, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment using virtual tools. Seasonal hours may apply with franchise support and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet IRS/state requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
