Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs. You will be part of a team delivering advanced tax training and supporting client relationships throughout tax season.

Role requires a bachelor's in accounting-related field and professional certification (CPA/EA). You will interview clients, prepare returns, and provide IRS support while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field


• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification


• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
