Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal position in San Angelo, Texas. You will build client relationships, conduct tax interviews, and prepare accurate tax returns with support from a skilled team.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in accounting, CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years in tax or related fields, including virtual interview experience and tax planning knowledge. Mentoring teammates and growing client relationships are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
