H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs and to deliver advanced tax training.

You will interview clients in person or via virtual tools, prepare returns, and help grow the business through service excellence. Ideal candidates have a relevant accounting background, 5+ years experience in tax or related fields, and strong communication skills.

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services

• Mentor and support teammates
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet IRS/state requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
