H&R Block, Inc. is seeking seasonal, experienced Tax Professionals to serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and help grow the client base while ensuring IRS compliance and facilitating additional products and services. This role emphasizes client service in a fast-paced franchise office.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and audit representation where applicable.
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• High school diploma or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
